If you’re interested in becoming a 2022 Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! volunteer – we want to hear from you! From July 30th - 31st, 2022 Calgary will become host to Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! street hockey tournament which features recreational and competitive 4-on-4 street hockey divisions for boys, girls, men, and women of all ages and skill levels. We are looking to find volunteers in the Calgary area to support the planning, promotion, officiating, and operations of Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! event. ASL ESL Class Tutor

Description: SUMMARY OF POSITION This position supports the ESL Instructor to work either one on one or in small group activities with ESL learners who have developmental, physical and/or learning disabilities. URSA Retreat Centre Camp Pitch-In Day

We are searching for about 50 volunteers to join us on Thursday, September 1st from 9am until 5pm for some wood chopping, outdoor cleanup, and fun at our Retreat Centre located just outside of Cochrane! The URSA Retreat Centre provides a vacation getaway for people with disabilities and their families. We rent the URSA Retreat Centre to external groups to subsidize running it for our clients. IAACC Parking Fundraiser - during Globalfest

Description: International Avenue Arts and Culture Community (IAACC), annually, is given the opportunity to raise funds to help the betterment of greater forest lawn through various programming, special events and assisting emerging artists by hosting paid parking lots in conjunction with Globalfest. Firstly, thank you for your interest to participate as a volunteer! Without you, IAACC would not be able to host this fundraiser and local artists further their disciplines through skill building, exposure, networking and more. Following is a few details on the expectations. Details: We require 30 people per night (6 Parking pass volunteers, 24 directing) **we do our best to ensure volunteers work in partners Ages 16+ Prior to the event, we will host an onsite orientation to go over all the procedures Where are the lots: • Hubalta Road from 52nd Street to 17th Avenue S.E. starting at 5:30 pm and • Rona (former Totem) parking lot. • B & P Cycle When: The days we need parking volunteers are: • Thursday, August 18 – India • Saturday, August 20 – Austria • Tuesday, August 23 – France • Thursday, August 25 – Germany • Saturday, August 27 – Finale * If the event is cancelled due to rain or wind, the event will be held the following night. Volunteers are asked to commit to being there. Customers can use the cancelled day’s parking pass on the rescheduled day on a First Come First Serve basis. Time: • Volunteer main shift: 5:30pm start- 9:30pm ish. Recommend arriving 15-30 mins early to familiarize yourself and get set up. • * We ask that you volunteer for 2 or more shifts. • **  2 volunteers are required to monitor the intersection at Hubalta Road and 17th Avenue S.E. from 5:30 to 11:00 pm. They will be directing traffic after the fireworks to exit Hubalta Road at 52nd Street only; no traffic will be allowed to exit from Hubalta Road onto 17th Avenue.
