Senior Neighbour Spring Clean up

Description: "Rake it Forward" Can you Help a Senior Neighbour with their Spring Clean-up? Raking leaves and picking up fallen branches can cause undue stress to seniors. Constant bending, crouching, and heavy lifting can put seniors at serious risks of falls, broken bones, heart attacks and strokes. A neighbour in your community needs your help. Volunteer with GFLS 55+ to help our seniors this year with their Spring clean-up. Opportunities for families, individuals, businesses, churches, community centers, and youth. Electricians & Solar Experts

Description: Volunteer Positions Available. Electricians and Solar Experts needed to maintain our Solar-Hydro SeaCan Micro-generator. At Grow Calgary, our ultimate goal is to ensure that all residents of Calgary, especially those who are vulnerable and living in poverty, have consistent access to healthy, local food. Grow Calgary is a 100% volunteer-run community farm; We donate 100% of the fresh food we grow to compassionate social agencies in Calgary with food access programs. Thanks to our volunteers and the generous spirit of our community, we have donated to over 40 Compassionate Food Access Agencies in Calgary, with 95% of our recipients being women and children. [For General Volunteers] From planting seeds to building greenhouses, each day at Grow Calgary represents a new opportunity to learn. Mother nature is our true boss, so please come with a flexible mindset. Task-lists change from day to day depending on the time of season & weather conditions. Some tasks may include seeding & transplanting, mulching garden beds, watering plants, pest control, or harvesting produce. Fleet Maintainence Manager Needed to Keep Grow Calgary Rolling

Peer Mediation And Skills Training (PMAST) is seeking energetic individuals with expertise in the following areas: Marketing and Promotions Social Media Communications Website design and maintenance Strategic planning Our programs focus on early intervention and prevention with the goal of providing all youth, including those considered "at risk", with the skills to ensure their emotional health and well being and assisting them in their transition into adulthood and the workforce.  Once they have the tools for a healthy life and to make healthy decisions, the next phase of our program provides further mediation training enabling them to help their peers, their families and others in their communities, to deal with the conflict in their lives.  These abilities make them leaders among their peers, increasing their self-worth, respect for others, inclusion, responsibility and sense of belonging.
