Description: Volunteer Positions Available. Electricians and Solar Experts needed to maintain our Solar-Hydro SeaCan Micro-generator. At Grow Calgary, our ultimate goal is to ensure that all residents of Calgary, especially those who are vulnerable and living in poverty, have consistent access to healthy, local food. Grow Calgary is a 100% volunteer-run community farm; We donate 100% of the fresh food we grow to compassionate social agencies in Calgary with food access programs. Thanks to our volunteers and the generous spirit of our community, we have donated to over 40 Compassionate Food Access Agencies in Calgary, with 95% of our recipients being women and children. [For General Volunteers] From planting seeds to building greenhouses, each day at Grow Calgary represents a new opportunity to learn. Mother nature is our true boss, so please come with a flexible mindset. Task-lists change from day to day depending on the time of season & weather conditions. Fleet Maintainence Manager Needed to Keep Grow Calgary Rolling

Description: Handsome Alice Theatre is seeking a new board member to take on the role of Board Chair, for a term of two years, with an option to renew for a second term. About Handsome Alice Handsome Alice is devoted to unleashing women and non-binary voices through the development and creation of theatre works that are inclusive, curious, and rebellious. Handsome Alice is a project-based theatre company that supports women and non-binary perspectives through creative narratives that fuse life and art. The Role The Chair presides over all meetings of the Board and the Annual General Meeting. The Chair works cooperatively with the Artistic Producer and provides leadership to the Board. The Chair also serves as a representative of the theatre to both internal and external constituencies and is an important member of the leadership team. The Chair is responsible for serving as an advisor to the Artistic Producer and facilitating Board meetings. Website Volunteer Personnel

Peer Mediation and Skills Training (PMAST) provides conflict management and dispute resolution skills to youth, families and communities and we are currently in need of a Volunteer to assist in website maintenance and design.   We are looking for a one-year commitment with individual flexibility to work around your schedule.  It’s a great way to network, build your skills, and give back to your community. Pro-bono work looks great on any resume - especially in today’s competitive world!  This is an excellent way to enhance and develop your skills for professional development while working from home.     The Website Volunteer works with the Website Manager to create and maintain content for PMAST’s website.
