Telephone Recruitment Volunteer

Organization: Heart & Stroke Foundation
Category: Communications / Marketing / Media
Description: Join the Heart & Stroke volunteer team! Heart & Stroke Foundation, Calgary office, is currently looking for out going, enthusiastic individuals who are seeking to leverage and/or sharpen their skills in an office environment, while supporting a great cause at the same time. Currently, we are in need of volunteers who have strong communication and computer skills. We need volunteers to assist us making many telephone calls to our constituents who are vital to the success of our door to door canvass campaign. From now until the end of December, we are seeking volunteers to help us call these constituents and ask them to support us by canvassing for our "Heart Month" in February. This campaign runs every February, and in the months leading up to it we try our best to reach as many of these constituents as possible via phone calls. We would provide you with a list of people to call and a script you can use to communicate with them. You will be asking them to support our door to door canvass again. The people on this list have canvassed for us either last year, or in the past at some point. This opportunity is available immediately. We are doing telephone recruitment every day until the end of December, and we could really use some help! If you are interested in applying for this position, or need more information, please reach out to Justin Leeson at: justin.leeson@heartandstroke.ca or 403-351-7071. Thank you! Heart & Stroke Foundation "Heart Month" door to door canvassing and/or Online canvassing

Organization: Heart & Stroke Foundation
Category: Fundraising & Sponsorship
Description: Every February, Heart & Stroke has our "Heart Month" canvass campaign nationwide, including right here in Calgary as well as other towns and cities in Southern Alberta. Join our team of volunteer canvassers to help share important information about heart disease and stroke with the community, as well as collect donations that contribute immensely to our mission. Essentially, this February 2020, you would have the entire month to find time to canvass an assigned route in your neighbourhood, or an area of the city you prefer. The routes typically take an hour or two to complete and you have the whole month to choose a time that best works for you. If you prefer to not knock on your neighbours doors, we have what's called a "friends and family" kit, which is similar, but you would canvass people you know, such as your friends and family. Alternatively, you can also do what is called online canvassing. This is fundraising done online. you would have a personal fundraising page set up that you can provide a link to  people who can support your fundraising efforts for Heart & Stroke. I would love to provide you with more information, if you have any questions, or to apply for this opportunity, please do not hesitate to reach out to Justin Leeson; justin.leeson@heartandstroke.ca or 403-351-7071. We look forward to hearing from you! Thank you! [/et_pb_blurb]
