Calgary Rotary Challenger Park
CRCP is a predominantly barrier free recreation, sport and wellness facility that was built to be a model of inclusiveness for the community. The idea was conceived in 1997 and began development in 1999 with the support of the Rotary Clubs of Calgary and Airdrie. It was felt that people with disabilities required a level playing field that incorporates breaking down barriers in all areas. The Park is a facility designed to ensure that all individuals, including those with disabilities, will have access to all amenities and services that are afforded to others in the community.
Located on 23 acres of land provided by the Calgary Airport Authority, the Park consists of baseball/softball diamonds, a cricket field, a soccer field, a 400-metre running track, a fields event area, basketball courts, tennis courts, administration building, picnic areas, a playground, and 1500 square foot meeting space.
The Alberta Seventh Step Society is a self-help organization working within the Criminal Justice System to prevent crime and to reduce recidivism. The self-help philosophy is applied to all pre and post release programs and services that are offered to persons in conflict with the law.
Weekly meetings are held in the community and federal institutions to provide a forum for free and open discussion of problems addressed to support individuals in becoming non-offending members of society.
Bow Ridge Little League Baseball Association offers baseball programs
for boys and girls from ages 4 to 16. Our program caters to all interested
players from first-time to advanced skilled players. Little League Baseball is more than an organization, it’s a community baseball program operated by local volunteers and dedicated to providing any child with a fun and engaging youth sports environment.
The Northern Hills Community Association (NHCA) is a grassroots, volunteer-based organization on a mission to enhance the quality of life of its residents by enriching and empowering our diverse communities through advocacy, education, and provision of opportunities for engagement.
NHCA serves over 57,000 residents in five communities in North Central Calgary: Country Hills, Country Hills Village, Coventry Hills, Harvest Hills and Panorama Hills.

To enable Canadians to improve their health, safety and quality of life by providing training and community service.
We carry out our mission through community service, and first aid, and CPR training.
Community Services volunteers include members who serve communities across Alberta, providing first aid and emergency response support, as well as improving the quality of life for people confined to a health care facility through our Therapy Dog visitation program. Our volunteers contribute thousands of hours to Albertan communities each year.
First aid and CPR training comprises instructors, volunteers and staff who provide high-quality first aid training and products. Under the guidance of our network of medical and health care professionals, St. John Ambulance is the national leader, setting the standard for training in first aid, CPR and other lifesaving skills.
EMMEDIA is an electronic media arts centre established in 1979 and incorporated as a non-profit society in 1983. Professionally managed and directed by practising artists, the Society responds to a broad community by offering affordable access to media art production tools, services, technical and educational support, and to an array of public exhibition programs. Our commitment to the media arts crosses a range of media and disciplines: audio, video, web-based art, independent film, animation, multimedia, performance and environments.
Today, EMMEDIA is a bridge within the arts community. Helping to meaningfully connect creators with equipment, resources, presentation spaces and studio workspace. We support artists of all disciplines and ages, supporting like-minded organizations through partnerships and collaborations to co-produce exhibitions, presentations, and publications. We are the go-to resource and diverse knowledge hub that shares our programming expertise, production equipment, gallery and presentation spaces, and technical skills to help our community realize their artistic visions.
Calgary Community Network Association is a Registered Charity and Non-Profit Organization begun in 1994. It is also known as "Calgary Free-Net".
We are dedicated to helping connect Community Members (including Organizations and businesses) to advanced networks like the Internet, preferably for Free when possible. We do this through providing Cheap and Free Internet Access for Members and Families in Need, Seniors, people with disabilities and community organizations and businesses.
Our "Barrier Free" Project, begun in 2001, provides a Computer and/or Internet access for a year, to those who can't afford it.
Its Community Access Program (CAP) seeks to provide Seniors and others Internet connection in the community through local portals in various community locations.
As a Registered Charity, all cash Donations are eligible for a Charitable Tax Receipt which can be used like money to pay for taxes on your Income Tax Return.
CCNA also welcomes Donations "in kind", like Laptops, and other hardware or software, to help with their Community work.

The Calgary Family Therapy Centre (CFTC) is a small non-profit society located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is an integrated service, training, and research program that specializes in systemic family therapy. Formerly known as the University of Calgary ‘Family Therapy Program,’ the Centre was first established in 1973. Over the years it has become well-known locally, nationally, and internationally as a leading clinical, training, and research facility.
vice component of the CFTC is funded by Alberta Health Services (AHS) to provide outpatient treatment services for the families of children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Approximately 400 to 600 families are involved with the Centre each year.
The educational and research components of the Centre are supported by volunteers, university faculty members, cost-recovery training activities, grants, and charitable donations. Many of the clinical families are actually seen in therapy by graduate-level interns under close supervision by senior staff and the rest of the team.
The Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs is a totally volunteer run organization that has created a botanical garden which stretches over 2 kilometers and includes 19 separate gardens focused on themes, plant types or activities. 60 Volunteers give over 9000 hours annually to maintain these gardens.

Founded in 2010 by Jessica van der Hoek, Prairie Sky Equine Assisted Therapy (PSEAT) is a registered charity that provides customized, transformational, and life-changing equine assisted therapy programs to individuals facing a range of physical, emotional, and social challenges. PSEAT is committed to creating a safe and accepting community where participants can be themselves while benefitting from direct equine interactions. We work to ensure that each participant finds a place in our herd.
