Ask Her strives to advance principles of inclusive and equitable representation in municipal government through training and development of candidates, and building a community of support. We are filled with energetic, capable people!  At Ask Her, we work in partnership across political and non-political organizations and networks of supporters including candidates, potential candidates, volunteers, funders and partners to help make it commonplace and expected for women to participate in Calgary’s municipal leadership. Autism Speaks Canada is dedicated to promoting solutions across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families by supporting and working with community partners; enhancing resources and services; increasing understanding, acceptance and inclusion of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

We are a vibrant community association based inner city close to the university, ctrains and many schools. We offer many community events that bring people from our community as well as neighbouring communities and across the city, especially to our much loved stampede event in July, family friendly engagements and music in the park events in the summer. We are inclusive and diverse in everything we achieve to do.

Believe in the Gold is a charitable foundation dedicated to children. BTWD brings together like-minded Calgarians to promote cycling as a viable means of transportation, reduce inner-city traffic congestion, and reduce pollution in the air. Cycling is a great addition to a healthy lifestyle and can be very cost effective – not to mention how much time is saved by not sitting in traffic. BTWD promotes a sense of community. With the effects of climate change weighing on our shoulders, biking to work is a simple way to reduce carbon emissions and our environmental impact. In order to inspire more participants, Lonny Balbi pledges to donate $1 for every participant to charity.  

The Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs is a totally volunteer run organization that has created a botanical garden which stretches over 2 kilometers and includes 19 separate gardens focused on themes, plant types or activities.  60 Volunteers give over 9000 hours annually to maintain these gardens. Vision:  A community gathering space , destination park and botanical gardens featuring plants that grow in our particular climate. Mission:  To contribute to a welcoming outdoor space through unique gardens and forests that inspire, educate, and provide enjoyment for all within a  multi-use environment We will achieve this through Volunteer Driven Community engagement Partnerships and Collaboration Sustainability Principles Human resource, Ecological Climate and environment Infrastructure We are looking for a treasurer for this organization

Volunteer Grant Writer Bright Lights For Africa is a Canadian registered charity and non-governmental organization, whose vision is to empower marginalized and vulnerable individuals through acts of love, compassion, and generosity, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. We serve both local and international communities and focus on tackling root causes of poverty to create sustainable and lasting change in the lives of those we serve. We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for a Grant Administrator! You will work remotely, about 4 to 6 hours per week and apply your skillset to support the grant/funding application process at Bright Lights for Africa. CCIS (Calgary Catholic Immigration Society) is a non-profit organization which provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Southern Alberta. Since our inception in 1981, we have been a community leader with solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive services for our newest neighbours. We deliver these services through a dynamic multi-cultural, multi-denominational and multi-disciplinary team of professionals, who collectively speak over 60 languages.

Calgary Community Network Association is a Registered Charity and Non-Profit Organization begun in 1994. It is also known as "Calgary Free-Net". We are dedicated to helping connect Community Members (including Organizations and businesses) to advanced networks like the Internet, preferably for Free when possible. We do this through providing Cheap and Free Internet Access for Members and Families in Need, Seniors, people with disabilities and community organizations and businesses. Our "Barrier Free" Project, begun in 2001, provides a Computer and/or Internet access for a year, to those who can't afford it. Its Community Access Program (CAP) seeks to provide Seniors and others Internet connection in the community through local portals in various community locations. As a Registered Charity, all cash Donations are eligible for a Charitable Tax Receipt which can be used like money to pay for taxes on your Income Tax Return. CCNA also welcomes Donations "in kind", like Laptops, and other hardware or software, to help with their Community work.

The team at the Calgary Drop-In Centre is here to connect vulnerable adults (18+) experiencing or at risk of homelessness with emergency shelter, housing and health programs. We provide low-barrier access to care, when and where it is needed, with a goal to support each person’s transition to the most independent living possible.
