The Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society aims to create a safe space where all storytellers are welcome. We provide a relaxed, friendly and encouraging environment where writers of all ages and abilities can practice their craft and sharing the joys and difficulties of the writing experience. We support writers’ development through a variety of classes, programs, and events, creating and reshaping offerings to meet the needs and interests of our members.

Many women are looking for self-identity, self-confidence, and wholeness. Our ministry is those women because we believe that every woman is complete in who she is in Christ Jesus no matter what society says. She is a woman who lacks nothing and has nothing missing - simply put "she is an All Woman!"

Artpoint Gallery & Studios Society was incorporated under the provisions of the Societies Act in 1998. Formed by artists, it is a non-profit artist-run studio and gallery supporting and promoting visual arts and art education in the Calgary community. The society’s web site can be found at www.artpoint.ca. The web site features the work of member artists and notices of current and upcoming shows. The Society is supported in part by grants from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Calgary Arts Development Authority. MANDATE AND MISSION I.2 OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY As a non-profit cooperative association of artists: - To support the development of the visual arts in Calgary - To promote art education in the community - To support the artistic work of members - To provide for the exhibition of members’ works of art - To provide for fellowship between the members - To foster good relationships between the Society and the local community. OUR VISION - To be an artist-run cooperative studio gallery. - To help emerging artists become full-time professional artists. OUR MISSION - To provide an accessible, attractive, and affordable environment for local artists to produce and exhibit their artwork in a studio gallery. - In promoting arts and culture, to enhance the life of the community. - To help members develop their artistic careers.

Ask Her strives to advance principles of inclusive and equitable representation in municipal government through training and development of candidates, and building a community of support. We are filled with energetic, capable people!  At Ask Her, we work in partnership across political and non-political organizations and networks of supporters including candidates, potential candidates, volunteers, funders and partners to help make it commonplace and expected for women to participate in Calgary’s municipal leadership. We strive to be a community of experts and influencers, looking to advance change and break systemic barriers through building relationships and collaboration that delivers value for all our members and program participants.

The Association of the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (ARBI) is a community-based, non-profit organization in Calgary, Alberta. ARBI provides comprehensive rehabilitation and caregiver support in a nurturing and encouraging environment. Our innovative treatment model and unique, personalized approach has successfully helped thousands of individuals with brain injuries regain their independence and live fulfilling lives.

Autism Speaks Canada is dedicated to promoting solutions across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families by supporting and working with community partners; enhancing resources and services; increasing understanding, acceptance and inclusion of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

The BJP Music Foundation (BJP) is a mostly volunteer-led, grassroots arts organization that prioritizes presenting world-class musicians through an intimate setting. Our goal is to expand operations in the future so we are able to engage more diverse audiences through creative collaborations via larger Calgary venues. Ultimately, we want to ensure musicians are paid fairly for the talent and experience they bring; we are committed to fair performance fees, gender parity and diversity in programming. With much success over the past 9 years, we continue this commitment, building community around professional and aspiring artists so they can rehearse, exhibit, present and perform their artistic works for the public, while advancing education and artistic appreciation through learning and training opportunities.

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada has been making a difference in the lives of the over 55,000 Canadians currently living with a brain tumour and thousands more before them.

We are a vibrant community association based inner city close to the university, ctrains and many schools. We offer many community events that bring people from our community as well as neighbouring communities and across the city, especially to our much loved stampede event in July, family friendly engagements and music in the park events in the summer. We are inclusive and diverse in everything we achieve to do.

Believe in the Gold is a charitable foundation dedicated to children. We are committed to: - Raising awareness about Childhood Cancer - Raising funds to help support families with medical expenses that are not covered by Provincial Health Care or extended benefit plans - Raising funds for Childhood Cancer research SEPTEMBER 16, 2023 YYC 10th ANNUAL RUN TO END CHILDHOOD CANCER We are returning for a MASSIVE 10-year celebration! Between Friends has been offering social and recreational programs in Calgary and the surrounding area for close to 40 years. Through our programs, we endeavor to benefit all people and increase the community’s awareness, positive attitudes, and sensitivity towards their fellow citizens with disabilities. Through the name updates, program additions and changes and adapting to the ever-changing circumstances of our society Between Friends has remained committed to providing quality social and recreational programming for people with disabilities.

BTWD brings together like-minded Calgarians to promote cycling as a viable means of transportation, reduce inner-city traffic congestion, and reduce pollution in the air. Cycling is a great addition to a healthy lifestyle and can be very cost effective – not to mention how much time is saved by not sitting in traffic. BTWD promotes a sense of community. With the effects of climate change weighing on our shoulders, biking to work is a simple way to reduce carbon emissions and our environmental impact. In order to inspire more participants, Lonny Balbi pledges to donate $1 for every participant to charity.
