This content would be used for our corporate website and our socials.Location: Remote (Weekly Zoom Meetings) About Us: DEFEND is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to reducing risks for children and vulnerable people online. We are currently building 65square, the world’s healthiest social media and dating platform, designed with game-like features and characteristics of an MMO. Our goal is to create a safer, more positive online space for users.Role Description: The Content Creator will be responsible for developing engaging, informative, and impactful content that aligns with our educational goals and mission. This role requires creativity, strong writing skills, and a passion for education. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various teams to produce high-quality materials that resonate with our target audience.Key Responsibilities:Content Development:Create original written content including articles, blog posts, newsletters, social media posts, and educational materials.Develop multimedia content such as videos, infographics, and podcasts to enhance learning experiences.Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.Research and Analysis:Conduct thorough research on educational topics relevant to our audience.Analyze trends in education to inform content strategy and development.Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve content quality.Content Strategy:Assist in developing a comprehensive content strategy that supports the organization’s goals.Plan and manage an editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across platforms.Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of content initiatives.Community Engagement:Engage with our community through social media platforms by responding to comments and messages.Organize virtual events or webinars that promote educational resources and foster community interaction.Collaborate with other organizations or influencers in the education sector to expand reach.Brand Consistency:Ensure all content adheres to the organization’s brand guidelines and voice.Maintain a consistent tone across all platforms while adapting style as necessary for different audiences.Training & Support:Provide training sessions or workshops on effective communication strategies for staff members involved in outreach efforts.Support the development of training materials for educators or volunteers within the organization.Qualifications:MUST be 18 years and above.Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Marketing, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in content creation, preferably within the non-profit or education sector.Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva).Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Personal Attributes:Passionate about education and committed to making a difference in the community.Creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas for engaging content.Strong interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively within a team environment.Why Join Us? Position Overview:This is an unpaid educational volunteer placement designed to provide meaningful learning, training, and documented volunteer hours. We are seeking high-energy, enthusiastic individuals who love working with children and young adults and are willing to learn what Conductive Education is. As a Conductive Education Intern, you'll gain hands-on, resume-building experience and specialized training for your discipline in a holistic therapy environment. You'll work one-on-one with participants and follow along with the group under the guidance of a Conductor or Program Leader.
