Opportunity Description:

International Avenue Arts & Culture Community (IAACC), annuals hosts a parking fundraiser which is held in conjunction with GlobalFest – the fireworks festival. IAACC has minimum 3 lots that where we offer paid parking to people attending GlobalFest. Each night of the festival, we require 30-50 volunteers to help with various positions: 1. Directing – volunteers will be directing vehicles on where to park (sometimes helping with with general directions). As well, stationed at blocked roads to ensure no one sneaks through. 2. Parking Passes- volunteers will sell parking passes to vehicles and direct them where to park. This volunteer opportunity is suitable for ages 16+ The festival is 5 nights total August 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 however if the event is postponed it’ll occur the next night and we ask volunteers to be available for the next day. Multiple days are encouraged if you can volunteer for more than 1 evening Please note: once you submit your interest through this portal, an IAACC representative will follow-up asking you to complete our volunteer form which there you will be able to choose your dates, times and volunteer position preference. Volunteers will receive: * an array of snacks & beverages each night * dinner on the final night * letters of reference – upon request * get to watch the fireworks fairly close (and sometimes hear the music) while not having to go into the festival grounds * invitation to our annual volunteer appreciation social
