Calgary Community Network Association (Board Member Volunteers)

Calgary Community Network Association needs regular Board Members to help with the administration of its Charitable activities and projects which involve giving Free Computers and Internet service to people in need and helping to plan, install and implement  Free and membership-supported Internet Access in our province,  BC and Saskatchewan. A Board Member would attend one board meeting a month on the second Monday of the month in the evening between 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Basic board volunteers are Members-at-large who attend meetings and occasionally help with needed tasks when they can. Executive Board Members have additional duties which depend on the position they wish to become involved in: Treasurer, Secretary, Project Liaison, Fund Raising, IT Committee, HelpDesk, etc. This is a great asset on anybody’s resume and you can learn a lot about the Internet, Computers and Telecommunications. Plus you might be helping persons with disabilities, seniors, kids and other valuable community members. CCNA is a Registered Charity, Non-Profit and Community Internet Access Provider (also known as Calgary Free-Net) and was begun in 1994.
