At Carewest, we strive to be forward thinking and approach things differently in the hopes of bringing value to our residents, clients, volunteers and staff. We continually ask ourselves: “how can we do this better?” New ideas and fresh thinking have been our cornerstone, helping take us from where we were more than half a century ago to the progressive health care organization we are today. We believe as strongly in responsiveness, evolution and growth as we do in our, history, foundation and experience. As Calgary’s largest public care provider of its kind and one of the largest in Canada, Carewest operates 14 locations aimed at helping people live more independent lives. Our spectrum of care is available to adults of all ages and includes long-term care, rehabilitation and recovery services, and community programs and services. We pride ourselves on our ability to change with the community’s needs and we do our best to predict what those needs may be in the future. Innovative thinking brought us here – imagine where it can take us.

The Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (CPAA) offers volunteer opportunities for one-time events, ongoing programs or office-based work. Volunteers play a fundamental role in the programs and services that we offer to our members and the community. Without volunteers, our weekly programs cannot run and there is an opportunity for individuals of all abilities to become volunteers.
By volunteering with us, you are a positive representation of our organization in the office, the community and especially in the lives of other people. Volunteering with the CPAA is an opportunity to use your personal interests and skills towards creating a Life without Limits for individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
