Founded in 1976, when a group of innovative social workers and resilient youth walked into the Ghost Wilderness west of Calgary, Enviros has grown from a single wilderness school program to become a diversified social services organization with our head-office in Calgary. Our staff help children, youth and families move from vulnerability to stability, crisis to independence. We do that through programs in the areas of: Addiction recovery FASD assessment and support Foster care Homelessness Live-in environments for children and youth Respite care for children and youth with special needs Young offender open custody Youth aging out of Children’s Services The power of human relationships invites belonging and inspires growth. The Calgary Stampede is a not-for-profit community organization that preserves and celebrates our western heritage, cultures and community spirit.  Supported by over 3,000 passionate volunteers, our year-round events, 10-Day Celebration, programs and initiatives invest in youth, support agricultural programs, celebrate western culture and make a lasting economic impact in our city.

The Federation of Calgary Communities is the largest volunteer movement in the city, working to support board members and volunteers who help improve neighbourhood life. We provide programs and services that help communities build their capacity to support and mobilize residents, identify and provide services, and be on the front lines of critical issues affecting them. Our work empowers people to guide their organizations with confidence and clarity to develop a sense of belonging and a voice for community life.

We are a boxing and fitness club for youth, adults, older adults & seniors.  We have been in operation in Calgary since 2012, offering both competitive and recreational boxing training.  In 2016 we launched an adaptive fitness and cognitive skills based program for people living with Parkinson's Disease.  This program is non-contact of course and it is truly at the "heart" of everything we do at Grizzly!

motionball Calgary is a fundraising organization in support of Special Olympics, our two annual events are the motionball Gala and the Marathon of Sport.

Medical Mercy Canada Society is a non religious, non partisan registered Canadian charity. We provide support to impoverished people and communities in Ukraine and along the Myanmar borders with Thailand and India. Since 1992 volunteers have been providing medical assistance, education, supplies and funds for projects requiring local participation.

The Festival Chorus was founded in 1959 as an amateur adult community chorus in Calgary.  It is entering its 65th season in the fall of 2023.  There are 40 to 50 members in the chorus.  The chorus is led by an Artistic Director and has a Board of Directors that include a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  The chorus performs an annual series of 3 concerts of a varied repertoire.

THE GRAND’s mission is to be a Culture House presenting high quality and thought provoking art, creating diverse and inclusive experiences, and bringing together artists and audiences to invoke a new way of thinking, appreciating and being, which transforms the community. The historic GRAND theatre has spanned over a century as a hub for Calgary’s art, culture and political communities. Built in 1912, The Lougheed block has seen the city’s landscape evolve and we are proud to call this iconic structure our home. We welcome companies, collectives and individuals to come together and learn from one another, building shared meaning and culture for our city. The GRAND is a not-for-profit organization (Charitable Registration: 134483981 RR0001). Since 2006, the theatre has been a centre for creation and presentation of contemporary performance from Calgary, Canada, and around the world. Today, the GRAND theatre houses a variety of event spaces perfect for a unique wedding, private event, corporate party or presentation, as well as arts, culture, performance and theatre events. With four distinct spaces to choose from, studios, dressing rooms and, of course, the versatile theatre are available to rent for a variety of purposes and events.

Shelter Movers is a national, volunteer-powered charitable organization providing moving and storage services at no cost to individuals and families fleeing abuse. We collaborate with local businesses and community agencies to support people, primarily women and children, as they transition to a life free of violence. As the only service of our kind in Canada, Shelter Movers helps survivors of gender-based violence transition to a better, safer life. Our VISION is a world where survivors can move on from abuse in dignity and power.

Since 2007, Sled Island's thoughtful, eclectic programming and independent spirit have produced a one-of-a-kind festival experience. Each June, the five-day music and arts festival brings together a community of music, comedy, film and art as well as over 40,000 attendees across multiple venues, earning rave reviews from attendees, artists and media across the globe. Breaking the Cycles by Creating the Circles For over 25 years, Stardale Women's Group has empowered the lives of Indigenous girls, strengthened their families, and inspired communities to engage in the core values of reconciliation. We are a community and safe space for participants aged 10-17 years to learn, grow, and explore what their futures hold.
