Hakili Community for Sustainable Development is a non-profit organization born in Calgary in 2016. We work within our communities to tackle the complex problem of poverty in Canada but also all around the world. We want to address intergenerational poverty and identify creative and sustainable strategies to eradicate the problem.

Handsome Alice is an independent theatre company supporting women’s perspectives through creative narratives that fuse life with art. We are a catalyst for activating diverse voices through performances and events that empower both artists and the community.

Scaring for a cause since 1992 Haunted Calgary is one of Western Canada’s largest and longest-running haunted attractions, offering spine-chilling, immersive Halloween experiences that thrill thousands of guests each year. Operated by a passionate team of volunteers, we transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary worlds of horror, using professional-quality sets, special effects, costuming, and live actors to create unforgettable scares. Our events aren’t just about fear—they’re about community. Proceeds support local charities, community programs, and Haunted Calgary’s year-round work to spread the joy of Halloween. We welcome volunteers of all ages, skills, and scare levels, with opportunities in acting, makeup, construction, set design, technical operations, customer service, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned haunter or brand new to the spooky scene, you’ll find a place in our creative, inclusive, and wildly fun family. Join us to make memories, meet new friends, and be part of something legendary—while making hearts race and screams echo. For over 60 years, Heart & Stroke has been dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Our work has saved thousands of lives and improved the lives of millions of others. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada is a national voluntary non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of Canadians by preventing and reducing disability and death from heart disease and stroke through research, health promotion and advocacy.

Heritage Park is one of Canada’s largest living history museums, with hundreds of exhibits, rides, shops, restaurants and daily demonstrations and activities to keep the young and the young-at-heart captivated in the past. Experiencing history is a year-round possibility. October to May is the Park’s winter operating season, during which you can explore the rare collection of vintage vehicles and petroliana in Gasoline Alley Museum and the charming shops and restaurants in the Heritage Town Square free zone, located before the Park gates. In the summer operating season, from May to October, the Heritage Town Square free zone, Gasoline Alley Museum and the bustling Historical Village are all open.

Hockey Calgary is a non-profit organization and governing body for all of minor hockey in Calgary, from Timbits (U7) to U21 (ages 5 to 21). It is an organization of passionate employees, volunteers, and athletes who commit themselves to the sport of hockey and its place in our community. As the largest minor hockey association in Alberta and one of the largest in North America. Hockey Calgary has 20 member associations with approximately 14,000 players, 3,700 coaches, 1,200 officials and countless volunteers.

Hull Services has long had a reputation for providing leading edge child, youth, and family mental health services. We work with children, youth and families who have experienced significant types of challenges. Hull offers them an opportunity to seek well-being and happiness, with a focus on mental health. Hull’s vision is for resilient young people and families to thrive within communities that support their mental health and well-being.

Humanities 101 is a strength-based educational program designed to help low-income Calgarians address barriers getting in the way of exercising their capacities and skills. We learn about the stories that connect us to others and the world around us through studies in Literature, History, Music, Cultural Studies, Philosophy, and Art History. Participants in Humanities 101’s challenging, but supported, university-level courses learn how to increase their capacity to engage in life and society, while deepening their skills of learning, communicating, and analysis. We meet two days a week for four months and study a variety of texts and ideas. Teachers and volunteers are co-learners in the classroom and are passionate about learning and create a welcoming space where adults with a diverse range of life and educational experiences challenge themselves and find a passion and excitement for learning.

I Belong Bags Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential items and support to at-risk youth experiencing homelessness in our community. Our mission is to offer a sense of belonging and dignity by distributing backpacks filled with essential and comfort items such as pajamas, toothbrushes, books, blankets, and hygiene products. We aim to foster compassion and make a tangible impact on the lives of youth facing displacement and crisis.

I Belong Bags Foundation supports children and youth in crisis, who are displaced without any belongings of their own. We provide them with a backpack filled with essential and comfort items like pajamas, toothbrush, stuffed animal, soft blanket, coloring & reading books and much more. The youth we serve include those entering foster care, transitioning from group homes, arriving in our city as newcomers, escaping violence, or being rescued from homelessness or trafficking situations. A backpack provides comfort, dignity and a sense of belonging and safety in traumatic situations. We are dedicated to breaking the cycle of negative inner narratives and empowering these youth to thrive, reminding them they belong and their community cares.  These young individuals are more than just a cause; they represent the very future of our community. In the chaos of the world today, it is all too easy for them to be forgotten and unseen. They are humans who deserve to be recognized, heard, valued, and supported.

Primary immunodeficiency disorders are very rare and misunderstood. That means people with chronic illness and exhaustion often go undiagnosed for years. Life with PI can be isolating and lonely, but we are not alone. ImmUnity Canada is a not-for-profit charitable organization that provides a community for people and families impacted by primary immunodeficiency. We advocate for education, research, and support for PI patients. Together, we can give all Canadians with PI access to the resources they need to thrive. ImmUnity Canada was founded in 1997 as the Canadian Immunodeficiency Patient Organization. We changed our name in 2022 to better reflect the work we do today!
