Curling Alberta is currently assisting Curling Canada with volunteer recruitment for the Curling's Capital Events to be held at Winsport from mid February to the end of April. Events will include the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, The Brier, Mixed Doubles Nationals, Men's worlds and two grand slam events. Over 250 volunteers will be required.
Cards For A Cause is a nonprofit organization created by two high school students. Our goal is to create community and spark happiness in times of stress and isolation, through cards. We are planning to involve senior homes, homeless shelters, front-line workers, and schools. Students from schools will be given the opportunity to write cards for the residents and workers of senior homes and homeless shelters and front-line workers. Students can leave their contact information for the possibility of receiving a card back.

ECSSEN Career School (hereafter ECSSEN) is a registered Canadian charity (Charity # 859245102RR0001) located in Calgary, Alberta. It was established in 2004 and has been run by a group of passionate and dedicated volunteers ever since. It focuses on helping immigrants and youth gain Canadian work experiences and skills through workplace practicum and in house programs; creating opportunities for them to adjust and contribute to Canadian Society through volunteering; and providing support to local social service agencies/organizations, and to the vulnerable and people in need through charitable initiatives.
The Calgary John Howard Society (CJHS) is a charity that reduces crime and makes Calgary communities safer by helping youth and adults make positive changes and move away from criminal behaviour. We do this by addressing the root causes of crime through housing, education, employment programs and support so that individuals have alternatives to breaking the law.
