We are seeking purpose-driven and experienced Board members who will act as the fiduciaries steering our small but mighty organization forward while building on the vast accomplishments of our grassroots founders. Serving 30 female youth annually, Stardale cultivates Indigenous pride while providing a safe and inclusive space for learning life and literacy skills, the means to walk harmoniously in two worlds, plus ceremony and celebration as tools to help break negative cycles. Responsibilities of Stardale Board Members include: Monthly Board meetings providing input and insight on strategies, policies, and initiatives. Assisting in annual fundraising and donor cultivation plus supporting the Executive Director in the planning and allocation of resources. Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with key stakeholders including government representatives, community leaders, and partner organizations. Advocating for policies that align with the organization’s goals and priorities. Acting as an ambassador for Stardale Women’s Group through the promotion of programs and initiatives within the community at large. Collaborating with fellow Board members to develop and evaluate programs. Identifying potential risks and assisting in the development of risk mitigation strategies. Ensuring organizational compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications: Passionate about promoting reconciliation and unity across nations; dedication and commitment to the empowerment and support of Indigenous girls Experience in community outreach and elevating organizational visibility and partnerships Proficient in facilitating executive leadership transitions and organizational change Knowledge of governance principles, best practices, and charitable fundraising strategies Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team to achieve measurable outcomes Ideal candidates for these pivotal roles will demonstrate a strong commitment to Stardale’s mission of supporting young, marginalized women through various phases of self-exploration, experimental learning, education, and employment.
