Role Description DEFEND is looking for dedicated HR Generalists and Volunteer Coordinators to join our HR Team. As a part of this team, you will support DEFEND’s personnel needs, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, training, and volunteer engagement. Responsibilities Personnel Management: Address and manage personnel issues, including handling resignations and disciplinary actions for volunteers who do not adhere to DEFEND’s code of conduct. Exit Surveys \u0026 Team Transfers: Conduct exit surveys for departing team members and facilitate smooth transfers between teams. Policy Development: Assist in creating HR policies that align with DEFEND’s needs and organizational goals. Reporting: Provide regular reports to DEFEND’s Committee or Board on recruitment strategies and any personnel\u002Drelated challenges. Committee Support Program: Help develop and oversee the Committee Support Program, assigning Committee Members as support contacts for volunteers. Recruitment Analysis: Monitor volunteer recruitment trends and advise the Committee Chair on effective recruitment strategies. Qualifications Experience in human resources, volunteer coordination, or a related field is an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive personnel matters with confidentiality and professionalism. Self\u002Dmotivated, organized, and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
