Our Mission Teenswork Freesports mission is to provide organized sports leagues throughout communities as well as sponsor children for city sports. “Removing financial barriers for all kids to play organized sports!” TeensWork FreeSports is a nation-wide Not-For Profit organization created to remove the financial barriers of being part of a team, that prevents so many kids from developing positive and healthy habits through organized sports.

Street Sisters Society is 100% women powered. We work to provide vulnerable women in Calgary with basic life necessities. We provide connection, resources and hand up to those who need it most. We provide lunches, warm clothing, harm reduction supplies, bras and hygiene supplies while building up trust and connection.

StoryBook Theatre is Canada's largest volunteer-driven Theatres for Young Audiences and families. In our almost 46 years of serving Calgary, we have fostered the love and passion for theatre arts in over one million people. Each season we bring together some of the industries brightest emerging talents both on and off the stage to create some incredibly accessible theatre for the whole family. We bring stories to life in a way that encourages children and their families to dream about who they are and may become, to explore the story from different perspectives, to think using inductive reasoning, and to connect to other people and ideas.

Start2Finish programming addresses the need for enhanced literacy and physical activity among children experiencing poverty/deprivation in the communities it services.

Start2Finish’s mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. For the last 20+ years, what has driven us is the desire to make Canada one of the best places to raise a child. Our work targets three outcomes for school-aged students living on the margins: increased physical activity and develops social-emotional agencies, aid in reaching and maintaining literacy skills and develop skills and agencies that contribute to success in high school. Achieving these outcomes is the key to making our ambitious vision of success for all Canadian children a reality.

Breaking the Cycles by Creating the Circles For over 25 years, Stardale Women's Group has empowered the lives of Indigenous girls, strengthened their families, and inspired communities to engage in the core values of reconciliation. We are a community and safe space for participants aged 10-17 years to learn, grow, and explore what their futures hold.

We are a caring, inclusive, and open Anglican community of faith. We seek to support each other in the events of life and share God’s love with the greater community we serve. Our goal is to work with our community partners and all people of good will to enhance our common life together.

We carry out our mission through community service, and first aid, and CPR training. Community Services volunteers include members who serve communities across Alberta, providing first aid and emergency response support, as well as improving the quality of life for people confined to a health care facility through our Therapy Dog visitation program. Our volunteers contribute thousands of hours to Albertan communities each year. First aid and CPR training comprises instructors, volunteers and staff who provide high-quality first aid training and products. Under the guidance of our network of medical and health care professionals, St. John Ambulance is the national leader, setting the standard for training in first aid, CPR and other lifesaving skills.

Developed in conjunction with leading health care organizations first aid training by St. John Ambulance incorporates the latest teaching methods to maximize learning.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is  Canadian non profit organization whose mission is to provide new twin beds or bunks to children who don't have beds of their own.  Each Chapter raises funds in their own cummunties by partnering with local groups, business and individuals to make sure these beds are hand built, out-fitted with new mattresses and bedding and delivered to children in need.  shpbeds.ca
