<strong>Our Mission Statement</strong>

Our objective is to assist and support patients, families and friends by informing, empathizing and reassuring men on their journey with prostate cancer. By sharing our experiences with our own cancer we lift our spirits and strengthen our resolve to fight for quality of life and a cure.

We have 3 main objectives:

• To provide peer-to-peer mutual support for men and their families on their journey with prostate cancer,
• To increase public awareness and understanding of the disease,
• To advocate for a strong provincial voice in matters relating to prostate cancer.

PCC provides valuable psycho-social/medical support to men with prostate issues or cancer.

Mission: Calgary's PCC fights cancer through ; Rapid Access to innovate personalized clinical care; proactively providing current medical information on the importance of early detection and reducing lifestyle risk factors; one on one peer support; academic and industry research; all in a one stop patient focused , non profit, premier medical facility.

 

For almost 50 years, The Pumphouse Theatre has been a home for Calgary’s emerging performing arts scene. In any given year more than a dozen companies will produce over 35 shows in the two theatres. The groups that perform at the Pumphouse Theatre range from large established companies to small up-and-coming artists collectives. Consequently, the shows produced here range from blockbuster musicals to Irish dramas to cutting-edge performance art as well as dance.

The Pumphouse Theatre is committed not only to providing a high-quality venue for the arts but also to keeping that venue affordable for Calgary’s arts community.

Quest Theatre is an award-winning theatre for young audiences offering whimsical and intelligent professional touring productions as well as opportunities for young people to create their own theatre during week-long programs in schools across Alberta and drama camps in Calgary.

Rabboni Support Society of Alberta support children and adults with special needs at the Rabboni Centre, in the community and in their homes. Our aim is to provide high quality and compassionate care services that support individuals with special needs, disabilities or health challenges, while giving their primary caregivers relief, rest and peace of mind.

RESULTS Canada is a global movement of passionate citizens, committed to raising our voices for a world without extreme poverty.

We combine the voices of our grassroots advocates with strategic advocacy efforts to leverage millions of dollars for programs and improved policies that give the world’s poorest people the health, education, and opportunity they need to thrive.

Reaching Families is a humanitarian food outreach program that has been working hard to provide essential nutritional food hampers to Calgary and surrounding areas for over 12 years.
We fill the gap in hunger for those who would otherwise fall through the cracks with other traditional Food Bank and Social Supports eligibility criteria.

The Rocky Mountain Eagle Research Foundation (RMERF) is dedicated to the study and conservation of eagles and other migrant raptors. Since 1992, RMERF volunteers have performed annual raptor migration counts at the same site location in the Kananaskis Country, Alberta, spring and fall; significantly providing data to the understanding of and amazement in watching Golden Eagles. By engaging in educational outreach and collaborating with other conservation organizations, the foundation aims to promote awareness and appreciation of eagles and their ecological importance. Roots of Empathy's mission is to build caring, peaceful and civil societies through the development of empathy in children and adults. Our vision is to change the world, child by child.

ROE offers empathy-based programs in schools and childcare centres. We train volunteer instructors to deliver an age appropriate curriculum and invite community families into classrooms to demonstrate <span class="TextRun SCXW187632269 BCX2" lang="EN-US" xml:lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW187632269 BCX2">the power of a secure </span><span class="FindHit SCXW187632269 BCX2">attachment relationship</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW187632269 BCX2"> between infant and parent – the first and most powerful model of empathy.</span></span>

<strong>Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-Canada)</strong> is a student-run, non-profit re-established in late 2014.

Our mission is to strengthen Canada’s future in space by providing post-secondary students with unique projects, research programs, and professional development opportunities in the Canadian governmental, industrial, and institutional space sectors.
