About Foothills Country Hospice Society: Foothills Country Hospice Society (FCHS) is a leading provider of compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement support services. Located just north of Okotoks, AB., surrounded by forested landscapes, sweeping fields, and scenic mountain views, FCHS serves the Foothills and South Calgary communities, providing residents and their loved ones with quality, respectful, compassionate care, including palliative expertise, end-of-life navigation, bereavement, and community supports. The Community Therapy Dogs Society (CTDS) provides care and support through animal-assisted interventions to individuals of all ages dealing with physical and mental health challenges. Our dedicated teams visit healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and senior homes. our Mission is to add value to people’s lives through a positive interaction with therapy dogs and to facilitate a better understanding of the role of therapy dogs through education and awareness. CTDS is entirely a volunteer organization and is a recognized Registered Charity by the Canada Revenue Agency. We offer our programs free of charge.

Life with PI can be isolating and lonely, but we are not alone. ImmUnity Canada is a not-for-profit charitable organization that provides a community for people and families impacted by primary immunodeficiency. We advocate for education, research, and support for PI patients. Together, we can give all Canadians with PI access to the resources they need to thrive. ImmUnity Canada was founded in 1997 as the Canadian Immunodeficiency Patient Organization. We changed our name in 2022 to better reflect the work we do today!

Founded on March 23, 2021, it aims to provide access to mobility devices that are not covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). The organization operates without a fancy office space, ensuring that all profits directly benefit its clients.
Volunteer Opportunity – Millrise Seniors Village (Calgary, SW) Millrise Seniors Village is a vibrant seniors community located at 14911 5 Street SW, just off Macleod Trail, near Fish Creek Provincial Park and Shawnessy Shopping Centre. Operated by SE Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization, Millrise Seniors Village provides a welcoming and supportive environment for 182 residents, offering a range of living options including Independent Living, Supportive Living, Memory Care, and Long-Term Care. We are currently looking for compassionate, reliable volunteers to join our team in the following roles: • Recreation Support – assisting with activities, programs, and social engagement • Dining Support – helping during meal times and supporting residents in the dining room • Laundry Support – assisting with folding and organizing resident laundry • Care Services – supporting staff with non-clinical resident care tasks • Reception – greeting visitors and supporting front-desk operations • Maintenance Support – assisting with light, non-technical tasks around the site Volunteering at Millrise Seniors Village is a rewarding way to give back, build meaningful connections, and make a real difference in the lives of seniors. CISV is an international, nonprofit, nondenominational organization called Children’s International Summer Villages (www.cisvcalgary.com), in which we promote peace through multicultural summer camps. Next July, our chapter will be hosting a summer camp called a Village. During this month, twelve delegations of 11 year olds along with their leaders from all over the world will live together while participating in activities to help build lasting international friendships and multicultural understanding. We are looking for volunteer staff to help run our program.

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary (EFry) helps builds bridges by offering the resources and supports required to remove the barriers our clients often face. For over 50 years, we have offered a hand up to thousands of women and youth engaged with the legal and justice systems by providing practical programs, basic necessities, and connections to community resources. Our goal is to build the skills necessary to create more hopeful futures.
