We are a non-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, dedicated to offering diverse recreational and competitive para cycling opportunities for para-athletes, coaches, and volunteers. Our mission is to create and support sport opportunities ranging from developmental to elite levels, focusing on athletic competition, technical development, leadership, and integration.

I Belong Bags Foundation supports children and youth in crisis, who are displaced without any belongings of their own. We provide them with a backpack filled with essential and comfort items like pajamas, toothbrush, stuffed animal, soft blanket, coloring & reading books and much more. The youth we serve include those entering foster care, transitioning from group homes, arriving in our city as newcomers, escaping violence, or being rescued from homelessness or trafficking situations. A backpack provides comfort, dignity and a sense of belonging and safety in traumatic situations. We are dedicated to breaking the cycle of negative inner narratives and empowering these youth to thrive, reminding them they belong and their community cares.  These young individuals are more than just a cause; they represent the very future of our community. In the chaos of the world today, it is all too easy for them to be forgotten and unseen. They are humans who deserve to be recognized, heard, valued, and supported.

For almost 50 years, The Pumphouse Theatre has been a home for Calgary’s emerging performing arts scene. In any given year more than a dozen companies will produce over 35 shows in the two theatres. The groups that perform at the Pumphouse Theatre range from large established companies to small up-and-coming artists collectives. Consequently, the shows produced here range from blockbuster musicals to Irish dramas to cutting-edge performance art as well as dance. The Pumphouse Theatre is committed not only to providing a high-quality venue for the arts but also to keeping that venue affordable for Calgary’s arts community.

For over 93 years, Camp Cadicasu Association of Calgary has provided a safe, affordable place for children and youth aged 7-15 years of age as well as over 10+ generations of families, the Calgary Public and Separate School Board, special interest groups like the Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates, Boys Scouts, Girl Guides, Environmental workshop attendees, Hikers and sports enthusiasts who want easy access to the ski hills of Canmore and Banff.  We also host weddings and family get-togethers for Calgarians of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Today our Board, whose members possess and demonstrate a strategic combination of personal attributes, expertise, social capital, competencies, and occupational backgrounds so that, collectively, it has access to a broad diversity of experiences, perspectives, knowledge, connections, and skills to carry out its governance, planning, stewardship, and advocacy functions. We are looking for a Board Director. Terms are for three (3) years, and term limits are set at 3 terms.  Camp Cadicasu orientation and training is provided to new Board Directors. Board Directors commit to attending and actively participating in approximately four (2-hour) Board Meetings/year (on ZOOM), 1 full-day Strategy Meeting, and approximately four (2-hour) Committee Meetings/year. Please note that most Board Directors serve on one Committee  Management, Fundraising, Marketing, Human Resource Advisor, Finance, Special Projects, and Governance). Based on Camp Cadicasu's most recent skills matric review, our immediate preference for the upcoming Board appointments will be given to a candidate demonstrating strategic skillsets and experience in Financial Management. While previous Board governance experience is not required, successful candidates must exhibit the qualities of a strong governor. The Calgary Women's Walking and Friendship Group promotes events to more than 1,500 women daily to help Calgary women grow their circle of female friends. Our website describes the walks, easy hikes, breakfasts, movies, museum visits and other fun social and fitness activities we offer.  It's cost-free to join the group, and the events are largely cost-free on our event site at this link EVENT HOST: We are recruiting volunteer hosts who want to host events for groups of women. Training is provided. You are welcome to host any event that appeals to you. Examples include: yoga, hikes, walks, museum visits, breakfast meetups, you name it. You are your own boss, and you can work remotely to plan your events, even one a month. RESPONSIBILITIES: Training is provided. Create your event (such as a walk in Calgary, for example) by planning the date, time, place and other details. Ensure parking spaces are available at the event location. Answer occasional questions from members when your event is posted on our website.  Optional: train to post your events on our website. Oh My Oakridge is a subcommittee of the Oakridge Community Association trying to revitalize and connect all greenspaces in Oakridge in order to create a more desirable and livable neighbourhood.

The BJP Music Foundation (BJP) is a mostly volunteer-led, grassroots arts organization that prioritizes presenting world-class musicians through an intimate setting. Our goal is to expand operations in the future so we are able to engage more diverse audiences through creative collaborations via larger Calgary venues. Ultimately, we want to ensure musicians are paid fairly for the talent and experience they bring; we are committed to fair performance fees, gender parity and diversity in programming.
