L’Arche Calgary is a community, made up of five Group Homes in Calgary, a Supported Independent Living Program (SILP), and a Tamarack Day Program. L’Arche Calgary supports adults with intellectual disabilities. It is a place where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life in a community designed to bring out the best in everyone, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need for one another.  We strive to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, by revealing them through mutually transforming relationships. We foster an environment in our community that responds to the changing needs of our members while being faithful to the core values of our founding story. In L'Arche, the beauty of a mutual relationship is exemplified every single day. We share our spirituality, pray with and for one another, welcome guests and neighbors, host family and friends, prepare and eat meals together, work together on daily chores, celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other milestones, and we even plan outings and go on vacations together. Life in L’Arche is lived and experienced together!

We are a small but mighty team, made up of individuals who come from lived experience of Executive or Senior level leadership. Each of us had been impacted by workplace challenges, pressures, or toxic culture, all of which eventually led us through waves of burnout and health challenges. Having to face the outcomes of burnout, we were forced to weather the storm however that looked for each of us. As a collective, we have come together to find a way to advocate for new leaders and develop a system of support for nonprofit organizations, associations, small businesses, and start-up initiatives. We aim to grow our membership, made up of seasoned leaders, to be able to share knowledge, create a space for support and think tanks, as well as collectively create ways to advocate for Pink Elephant workplace issues. At S.H.E., we bring compassion, empathy, and humility into our work. Always leaning on our learnings, and creating avenues for open conversations and continual growth. We strive to keep our minds curious, learn from each other, and bring attention and care to the work we do for you and your team. We are a Fractional Executive Support, made by and for leaders like yourself. We are here to fill the gaps in your organization or start-up, where resources may be limited, meeting our mission to reduce executive burnout by providing services that will bring back a sense of work-life balance. We aim to reduce workloads, strengthen organizational systems, strengthen boards and board processes, and talk about the impacts of executive burnout not on just the individual, but also on the team, organization, and the community as a whole. Plastic-Free YYC is a nonprofit focused on inspiring individuals, collaborating with businesses, and encouraging governing bodies to evoke change and eliminate waste. Our team is made up of passionate waste-fighting warriors who bring their professional expertise across various areas of the business. All of the roles are created, not only to help promote plastic-free solutions but to provide first-hand, career-enhancing experience. Each core team member has the opportunity to shine, with the autonomy to make decisions and truly make a difference in their community.

We are a non-profit organization that aims to provide life enriching opportunities and an unbound vision of the future for individuals with developmental disabilities. The mission or philosophy of The Integrated Post Secondary Education Society is to: Provide an inclusive educational alternative to young adults with developmental disabilities by encouraging and supporting them to participate in a post-secondary experience (Inclusive Post-Secondary Education). Provide continuing support to the graduates of the post-secondary education experience in a workplace environment and connecting with the community. (Graduate Support Services). The objective of Inclusive Post-Secondary Education and the Graduate Support Services is to provide quality educational and workplace opportunities to students, and in so doing, to assist them in developing the skills and relationships necessary to live and work in the community.  Inclusion within the university population will offer the normative, age-appropriate setting, which will promote a variety of social interactions and many new skills, while workplace assistance will allow our graduates to maintain and improve on the skills acquired during their time in the university setting.  Our philosophy is to encourage men and women who have a developmentally disability to associate with other individuals and to develop lifelong, as well as life-defining, relationships.  These relationships are critical to an inclusive future for young adults as they strive to live productive lives in the community.  We also believe that people with disabilities should have the same opportunity as others to Further their education beyond the secondary level. YouCreate is a Calgary non-profit company founded to promote artistic and musical community service projects. We also have a UCalgary club chapter which mirrors our projects. Every two years we focus on a new overarching theme. 2020 and 2021 focused on helping communities during the COVID-19 pandemic with fundraisers for the Drop-In Center, Calgary Food Bank, and more. In 2022 and 2023, we have been exploring the challenges faced by Indigenous communities through our podcast series: mynistypiksiiks (Many Different Birds). Heritage Park is one of Canada’s largest living history museums, with hundreds of exhibits, rides, shops, restaurants and daily demonstrations and activities to keep the young and the young-at-heart captivated in the past. Experiencing history is a year-round possibility. October to May is the Park’s winter operating season, during which you can explore the rare collection of vintage vehicles and petroliana in Gasoline Alley Museum and the charming shops and restaurants in the Heritage Town Square free zone, located before the Park gates. In the summer operating season, from May to October, the Heritage Town Square free zone, Gasoline Alley Museum and the bustling Historical Village are all open.

Artpoint Gallery & Studios Society was incorporated under the provisions of the Societies Act in 1998. Formed by artists, it is a non-profit artist-run studio and gallery supporting and promoting visual arts and art education in the Calgary community. The Society is supported in part by grants from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Calgary Arts Development Authority. The Calgary Society for Healthy Child Development is a charitable organization founded in 1998. We engage in activities that help families develop the skills they need to ensure their children grow up healthy and strong. Our Vision: All children achieve optimal development. Our Mission: The Calgary Society for Healthy Child Development seeks to increase awareness how parents, grandparents, extended family, and childcare providers can promote healthy childhood development, through the ages of birth to 6 years.

Grow Calgary is registered non-profit community farm dedicated to growing fresh produce for food insecure people in Calgary and surrounding communities. Along with donating our produce, we advocate for system-level change to address food insecurity in our communities and provide education on this issue as well as small-scale farm management. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all residents of Calgary have consistent access to healthy, lo0cal food.

Insight Counselling & Therapy Centre provides high impact counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals and families, regardless of their income, to promote individuals emotional, social, and psychological well-being. We provide needed counselling to vulnerable, low-income people and offer evidence-based therapy to deal with anxiety, conflict, relationship challenges, depression and so much more.  Cost is never a barrier at Insight.

Formed in 1997, The Victoria Park Business Improvement Area (BIA)* is a not-for-profit business association that represents more than 350 merchants and businesses in the community of Victoria Park. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the BIA works to promote and improve the area and is an advocate on important community issues. Victoria Park is located in the Beltline just south of the downtown core, with boundaries roughly extending east to west from the Elbow River to 4th St SW, and north to south from the CPR tracks near 10th Ave to 17th Ave S. Membership is automatic for business falling within the BIA boundaries.
