The Rocky Mountain Eagle Research Foundation (RMERF) is dedicated to the study and conservation of eagles and other migrant raptors. Since 1992, RMERF volunteers have performed annual raptor migration counts at the same site location in the Kananaskis Country, Alberta, spring and fall; significantly providing data to the understanding of and amazement in watching Golden Eagles. By engaging in educational outreach and collaborating with other conservation organizations, the foundation aims to promote awareness and appreciation of eagles and their ecological importance. Parkinson Association of Alberta is the source for support, education and inspiration for people impacted by Parkinson disease and Parkinson’s Plus Syndromes, and engagement in important quality of life research with an emphasis on Alberta.

The historic GRAND theatre has spanned over a century as a hub for Calgary’s art, culture and political communities. Built in 1912, The Lougheed block has seen the city’s landscape evolve and we are proud to call this iconic structure our home. We welcome companies, collectives and individuals to come together and learn from one another, building shared meaning and culture for our city. Since 2006, the theatre has been a centre for creation and presentation of contemporary performance from Calgary, Canada, and around the world.

BOSS Dodgeball Calgary League is a non-profit organization operated by a team of passionate, dedicated, and professional individuals, who truly value athleticism and sportsmanship. The athlete in us allows us to play and excel in the sport. The professional in us allows us to properly manage and promote growth in the organization. But most importantly, the recognition of being amongst friends allows us to take this sport to a more personal level. As a non-profit sports league, we encourage volunteers to get involved in this fun environment and to learn more about Dodgeball. Our ultimate goal is to bring the community together by spreading the love for Dodgeball. We strive to create an inclusive, friendly, and fun environment where all participants can enjoy the sport. As we continue to grow, we will always remember our core value: we are a community. Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada is responsible for coordinating, growing and developing towed water sports from initiation to high performance. Responsible for the overall health of the sport in collaboration with our Provincial Sport Organizations, WSWC leads through proactive advocacy, strengthened partnerships, effective communications and coordinated leadership. Representing several interest groups in the sport, Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada has been in the business of serving the towed water sports community since 1949. A non-profit organization, Water Ski & Wakeboard Canada is the sole national sport governing body and recognized water ski and wake sport authority in Canada, representing all competitive Canadian towed water sports including adaptive water ski & wakeboard, barefoot, marathon, show ski, wakeboard, wake park, wakesurf, wakeskate, and water ski. As the national association, WSWC is also responsible for high performance, national championships, and developing the national programming for grassroots development, coaching and long term athlete development.

I Belong Bags Foundation supports children and youth in crisis, who are displaced without any belongings of their own. We provide them with a backpack filled with essential and comfort items like pajamas, toothbrush, stuffed animal, soft blanket, coloring & reading books and much more. The youth we serve include those entering foster care, transitioning from group homes, arriving in our city as newcomers, escaping violence, or being rescued from homelessness or trafficking situations. A backpack provides comfort, dignity and a sense of belonging and safety in traumatic situations. We are dedicated to breaking the cycle of negative inner narratives and empowering these youth to thrive, reminding them they belong and their community cares.  These young individuals are more than just a cause; they represent the very future of our community. In the chaos of the world today, it is all too easy for them to be forgotten and unseen. They are humans who deserve to be recognized, heard, valued, and supported.

For almost 50 years, The Pumphouse Theatre has been a home for Calgary’s emerging performing arts scene. In any given year more than a dozen companies will produce over 35 shows in the two theatres. The groups that perform at the Pumphouse Theatre range from large established companies to small up-and-coming artists collectives. Consequently, the shows produced here range from blockbuster musicals to Irish dramas to cutting-edge performance art as well as dance. The Pumphouse Theatre is committed not only to providing a high-quality venue for the arts but also to keeping that venue affordable for Calgary’s arts community.

For over 93 years, Camp Cadicasu Association of Calgary has provided a safe, affordable place for children and youth aged 7-15 years of age as well as over 10+ generations of families, the Calgary Public and Separate School Board, special interest groups like the Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates, Boys Scouts, Girl Guides, Environmental workshop attendees, Hikers and sports enthusiasts who want easy access to the ski hills of Canmore and Banff.  We also host weddings and family get-togethers for Calgarians of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Today our Board, whose members possess and demonstrate a strategic combination of personal attributes, expertise, social capital, competencies, and occupational backgrounds so that, collectively, it has access to a broad diversity of experiences, perspectives, knowledge, connections, and skills to carry out its governance, planning, stewardship, and advocacy functions. We are looking for a Board Director. Terms are for three (3) years, and term limits are set at 3 terms.  Camp Cadicasu orientation and training is provided to new Board Directors. Board Directors commit to attending and actively participating in approximately four (2-hour) Board Meetings/year (on ZOOM), 1 full-day Strategy Meeting, and approximately four (2-hour) Committee Meetings/year. Please note that most Board Directors serve on one Committee  Management, Fundraising, Marketing, Human Resource Advisor, Finance, Special Projects, and Governance). Based on Camp Cadicasu's most recent skills matric review, our immediate preference for the upcoming Board appointments will be given to a candidate demonstrating strategic skillsets and experience in Financial Management. While previous Board governance experience is not required, successful candidates must exhibit the qualities of a strong governor.
