Quest Theatre is an award-winning theatre for young audiences offering whimsical and intelligent professional touring productions as well as opportunities for young people to create their own theatre during week-long programs in schools across Alberta and drama camps in Calgary.
Calgary International Film Festival is now the largest film festival in Alberta and is the sixth-largest in Canada. It is also an Oscar-qualifying festival for short films, a Canadian Screen Award Qualifying festival, and was named one of "50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee" in 2009, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 & 2022 by MovieMaker Magazine.
In 2022, CIFF celebrates its 23rd year, September 22 - October 2. The 11-day showcase of over 175 multi-genre feature and short films from Canada and around the world also hosts an Industry Week series that emphasizes unique and exciting ways for filmmakers and fans to interact. Our virtual cinema program returns this year for audiences across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
In addition to Calgary International Film Festival, we present three film series year-round: MoS Docs, a series dedicated to showcasing the year's most talked and compelling music documentaries from around the world, Top Docs, a six-month screening series of award-winning and critically acclaimed documentary film and our third series introduced in 2019, Global Perspectives, a new contemporary world cinema series. We also host an Oscar-Nominated Shorts Weekend every February.
URSA is a Calgary-based non-profit dedicated to providing community-based services and opportunities to people with brain injuries, disabilities, and complex medical needs to attain a personal level of achievement and excellence in life.
Historically rooted in the Indigenous culture of the Mi’kmaq First Nation, hockey went on to become Canada’s national winter sport. Now, we’re taking the game off the ice and into the summer sunshine for Play On!, Canada’s street hockey tournament.
The tournament includes a series of street festivals in 9 cities across the country. With Calgary hosting our launch event on July 30th - 31st, 2022. It’s open to all ages and experience levels and no skating skills are required - just grab your sneakers and a stick and you’re ready to play.
The Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer is in support of the most courageous and brave Albertans who have shown their Alberta strength through a cancer experience. Those with us and those we’ve lost. We work directly with the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Participants in the ride will be raising funds to support local cancer centres throughout the province, through research, technology and clinical trials, provide cutting edge radiation therapy treatments, as well as offer mental health and financial support.

The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is a community centre dedicated to serve the Chinese community of Calgary and the surrounding area. In carrying out its mandate, it also dedicates itself to undertake educational and cultural programs to enrich the lives of all Calgarians.
Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) is a non-profit organization established in 1982 as a registered charity. CIWA is a culturally diverse settlement agency that recognizes, responds to, and focuses on the unique concerns and needs of immigrant and refugee women, girls, and their families. CIWA’s uniqueness is based on its gender specific mandate. Over the years, we have continually responded to emerging needs of immigrant women and girls, developed innovative programs, established meaningful partnerships, and have come to be recognized as a provincial and national leader in outcome-based gender-specific settlement services.
CIWA offers programs and services that use a holistic approach to support clients in the areas of settlement and integration, literacy and language training, employment support and bridging programs, family violence, parenting, individual counselling, in-home support, civic engagement, health, housing, and community development. All clients have access to childcare and first language support during group sessions and individual appointments.
BeaYOUtiful is a non-profit organization that was initially established in January 2012. Reaching out to young girls between the ages of 8-14, this organization provides mentorship programs for those struggling with confidence, lacking self-esteem, or simply looking to build a more positive outlook.
BeaYOUtiful works directly with young girls throughout Canada, providing a safe and fun environment enrolled in the after school program. Classes range from learning to balance a healthy lifestyle, dealing with bullying and family issues, to key steps towards finding the inspiration to chase your dreams. Although each class exemplifies a different life lesson, the same moral is focused on in the end: never forget you are beautiful.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.
Variety – the Children’s Charity of Alberta supports children who are living with disabilities and specialized needs in our communities.
Through education, advocacy, direct support and community outreach, we support children who are facing physical, developmental, emotional or learning challenges and are dedicated to advancing the health, quality of life and enrichment of children living with specialized requirements and needs.
The initiatives that we engage in support building inclusive and healthy communities for children living with specialized needs to gain greater independence and positive life experiences.

Humanities 101 is a strength-based educational program designed to help low-income Calgarians address barriers getting in the way of exercising their capacities and skills. We learn about the stories that connect us to others and the world around us through studies in Literature, History, Music, Cultural Studies, Philosophy, and Art History.
Participants in Humanities 101’s challenging, but supported, university-level courses learn how to increase their capacity to engage in life and society, while deepening their skills of learning, communicating, and analysis. We meet two days a week for four months and study a variety of texts and ideas. Teachers and volunteers are co-learners in the classroom and are passionate about learning and create a welcoming space where adults with a diverse range of life and educational experiences challenge themselves and find a passion and excitement for learning.
