About this opportunity:
Help students grow, one lesson at a time! York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant Volunteer—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves sharing knowledge.
The Teaching Assistant Volunteer is responsible for:
- Working in a team to plan and create a curriculum
- Designing informative slide shows to accompany lessons
- Teaching lessons to kids over Zoom/Google Meet
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone
- Signing into shift on time

Requirements:
- Minimum age: 12
