Strategy Committee Member

Quest Theatre (Calgary/Moh’kinsstis) is searching for a volunteer Strategy Committee Member. Our ideal candidate is someone who has strategic planning experience, goal setting, and/or risk management experience. This volunteer position is based in Calgary. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain experience to become a future member of the Board of Directors. For 40 years, Quest Theatre has nurtured young people through exceptional adventures in theatre, creating intelligent and whimsical work that encourages young people to explore who they are, discover what is important, and build the kind of world they want to live in. We do theatre WITH young people and FOR young people with the knowledge that exposure to the arts is vital for their personal growth, character development, and sense of belonging in society.

Role Description

Major responsibilities include:

Strategy Committee Member

• Attends committee meetings
• Contributes to setting the committee annual goals
• Participates in setting strategy for the theatre company
• Reviews and provides feedback on annual goals for the theatre company
• Identifies risks and recommends solutions to the board

Time Commitment

Strategy Committee meetings are held virtually approximately 6 times per year. Board meetings are held approximately 6 times per year in person. Some ad hoc meetings and work may be required.
