Teams of 16 people can compete to see who will be the fastest to pull a frac pump down a designated track. We will have various volunteer opportunities available for this fun event and we would love to have you join us!Details:Date: Thursday September 24, 2026Location: McMahon Stadium Parking Lot (1817 Crowchild Trail NW, Calgary AB)Time: 8:00am - 3:00pmCheck in Location: Stadium Parking Lot (look for signage)Parking is available on site and is also transit accessible.Roles:Event Set-upTruck Pull TimersKid Zone Carnival Game SupervisorsFood and Drinks TentEvent Clean-upOther Notes:- Training will be provided on the day of the event for all volunteers assisting with the truck pull on how to record the time for each team.- Many of the roles involved will require lots of standing and walking around the event site. Activities can be at a decent distant from each other, so most volunteers will need to be prepared to be mobile and stand (on concrete) for periods of time.- To Wear: MAWC T-shirt (if you have one, if not, one will be provided), comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing- Volunteers will receive snacks and lunch

Quest Theatre (Calgary/Moh’kinsstis) is searching for a volunteer Strategy Committee Member. Our ideal candidate is someone who has strategic planning experience, goal setting, and/or risk management experience. This volunteer position is based in Calgary. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain experience to become a future member of the Board of Directors. Role Description We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic individual with a background and experience in human resources to join our Governance Committee. Prior Board or Committee experience is considered an asset.Major responsibilities include: Governance Committee – Human ResourcesLeadership and guidance support with all HR related policies, procedures and documents. Annual review of the employee personnel policies and procedures.Review and recommendations of compensation packages including benefits.Participation and oversight in the recruitment, selection process and succession planning for Quest leadership and board/committee roles as required.Guidance and support in the annual performance reviews of the Artistic Director and Director of Business Operations.Provide human resources guidance as required including recruitment, performance management etc.Other Governance Committee duties as requiredTime Commitment Governance Committee meetings are held virtually approximately 6 times per year. Feeding our Future addresses summer hunger by packing and delivering nutritious snacks to children and youth when school meal programs pause. You will be required to lead and guide meetings with the agenda and occassionally attend work meetings outside of the board meetings to assist in tasks including fundraising. We meet 3 times per year. Our organization works with At-Risk Youth and Young adults involved in the justice system in Calgary.
