He played college football at theUniversity of Kansas. He has played 8 years for the Calgary Stampeders. In 2014 Jon was the Calgary Stampeders nominee for Most Outstanding Player and took home the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian award. Cornish was awarded the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada’s top athlete for 2013. Cornish has won 2 Grey Cups in his time with the Stampeders (2008,2014). Jon Cornish is a Human Rights Advocate, speaking out for LGBT rights, helpling raise money for Women and Children in Bangladesh, and working with Woods Homes in Calgary for at risk children.
