As a non-profit corporation owned by the City of Calgary, the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Calgary, Innovate Calgary has complementary responsibilities to serve the intellectual property and economic development needs of university students and faculty, entrepreneurs, and small/medium enterprises across Alberta. It delivers unique, successful services to a variety of university initiatives and research personnel, such as to LivingWorks (https://www.livingworks.net), founded by U of C faculty members. These services can benefit emeriti continuing research programs and present opportunities for those whose skills, knowledge, and expertise could make valuable contributions to future initiatives. This event is organized by the University of Calgary Emeritus Association and is sponsored by the Vice-President (University Relations). It is open to the community at no charge.
