To raise awareness about violence and abuse, empower individuals to recognize family violence in all its forms, respond to victims in a supportive, non‐judgmental way, and effectively refer individuals to appropriate local resources. This public education program includes an interactive presentation (workshop), a handbook for easy reference, and numerous other resources for individuals to build their confidence and skills in helping those dealing with violence and abuse. Learn how to support victims, talk to perpetrators and handle difficult conversations. The information, activities and strategies reveal the true extent of family violence, how it impacts our community, and invites you to be a part of the solution and help end family violence and abuse. There is also an important piece throughout the presentation/workshop about how the media and what is going on culturally plays an integral hold in shaping public discourse and the conversion surrounding violence and abuse. Everyone is welcome!
