Opportunity Description:

Every February, Heart & Stroke has our “Heart Month” canvass campaign nationwide, including right here in Calgary as well as other towns and cities in Southern Alberta. Join our team of volunteer canvassers to help share important information about heart disease and stroke with the community, as well as collect donations that contribute immensely to our mission. Essentially, this February 2020, you would have the entire month to find time to canvass an assigned route in your neighbourhood, or an area of the city you prefer. The routes typically take an hour or two to complete and you have the whole month to choose a time that best works for you. If you prefer to not knock on your neighbours doors, we have what’s called a “friends and family” kit, which is similar, but you would canvass people you know, such as your friends and family. Alternatively, you can also do what is called online canvassing. This is fundraising done online. you would have a personal fundraising page set up that you can provide a link to  people who can support your fundraising efforts for Heart & Stroke.
