Do you love being outdoors and working with plants? As a Garden Care Volunteer, you’ll help maintain and nurture our beautiful garden, ensuring it remains a peaceful and welcoming space. Duties vary by season but include aerating, weeding, deadheading, pruning, trimming, watering, planting, and general garden upkeep. You’ll also assist in keeping pathways clear and tidy. An understanding of Calgary’s plants and microclimates is beneficial, and curiosity is always welcome! Volunteers are encouraged to ask questions, share insights, and collaborate. You can volunteer solo or bring a buddy for a more enjoyable experience. We recommend bringing your own gloves and basic tools if available, though we provide a shared “Garden Bucket” with essential tools from our garden shed. Join us in creating and maintaining a thriving, peaceful garden! 🌿
