STEAMistic Calgary (Director of Instruction)

• Appropriate for youth (i.e., less than 18)
• Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
• Training or orientation required

STEAMistic is a youth-led initiative that aims to distribute STEAM-related educational materials & activities to youth from low SES backgrounds across Edmonton & Calgary. Our goal is to ignite curiosity among the youth & help them build innovation, leadership & critical thinking skills. The Director of Instruction will be responsible for managing a small team of volunteers (the project managers) and overseeing the logistics of in-person STEAM workshops at collaborating organizations (all are located in Calgary). Some experience in planning and hosting educational workshops, creating interactive instructional materials, and coordinating logistics for events is an asset. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be high school students, university students (undergraduate or graduate), or graduates who have completed their degree within the last five years.
