The historic GRAND theatre has spanned over a century as a hub for Calgary’s art, culture and political communities. Built in 1912, The Lougheed block has seen the city’s landscape evolve and we are proud to call this iconic structure our home. We welcome companies, collectives and individuals to come together and learn from one another, building shared meaning and culture for our city. The GRAND is a not-for-profit organization (Charitable Registration: 134483981 RR0001). Since 2006, the theatre has been a centre for creation and presentation of contemporary performance from Calgary, Canada, and around the world.

For almost 50 years, The Pumphouse Theatre has been a home for Calgary’s emerging performing arts scene. In any given year more than a dozen companies will produce over 35 shows in the two theatres. The groups that perform at the Pumphouse Theatre range from large established companies to small up-and-coming artists collectives. Consequently, the shows produced here range from blockbuster musicals to Irish dramas to cutting-edge performance art as well as dance. The Pumphouse Theatre is committed not only to providing a high-quality venue for the arts but also to keeping that venue affordable for Calgary’s arts community.

The BJP Music Foundation (BJP) is a mostly volunteer-led, grassroots arts organization that prioritizes presenting world-class musicians through an intimate setting. Our goal is to expand operations in the future so we are able to engage more diverse audiences through creative collaborations via larger Calgary venues. Ultimately, we want to ensure musicians are paid fairly for the talent and experience they bring; we are committed to fair performance fees, gender parity and diversity in programming. With much success over the past 9 years, we continue this commitment, building community around professional and aspiring artists so they can rehearse, exhibit, present and perform their artistic works for the public, while advancing education and artistic appreciation through learning and training opportunities.

The Canmore Folk Music Festival is Alberta's longest-running folk music festival, celebrating 48 years of music, community, and creativity. Held annually over the August long weekend, the festival brings together a dynamic lineup of local, national, and international artists, drawing an audience of over 5,000 people each day to the stunning Rocky Mountain town of Canmore. With its picturesque setting and welcoming atmosphere, the Canmore Folk Festival has become a beloved destination for music lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Scaring for a cause since 1992 Haunted Calgary is one of Western Canada’s largest and longest-running haunted attractions, offering spine-chilling, immersive Halloween experiences that thrill thousands of guests each year. Operated by a passionate team of volunteers, we transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary worlds of horror, using professional-quality sets, special effects, costuming, and live actors to create unforgettable scares. Our events aren’t just about fear—they’re about community. Proceeds support local charities, community programs, and Haunted Calgary’s year-round work to spread the joy of Halloween. We welcome volunteers of all ages, skills, and scare levels, with opportunities in acting, makeup, construction, set design, technical operations, customer service, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned haunter or brand new to the spooky scene, you’ll find a place in our creative, inclusive, and wildly fun family. Join us to make memories, meet new friends, and be part of something legendary—while making hearts race and screams echo. Formed in 1997, the Victoria Park Business Improvement Area (BIA)* is a not-for-profit business association that represents more than 350 merchants and businesses in the community of Victoria Park. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the BIA works to promote and improve the area and is an advocate on important community issues. Victoria Park is located in the Beltline just south of the downtown core, with boundaries roughly extending east to west from the Elbow River to 2nd St SW, and north to south from the CPR tracks near 10th Ave to 17th Ave S. Membership is automatic for businesses falling within the BIA boundaries.

Emma House is a non-profit in Calgary that provides programmed housing to pregnant women and youth who are experiencing homelessness. In 2018 alone, there were close to 3000 Calgarians experiencing homelessness. Emma House is proud to be 1 of 3 organizations in Calgary that work primarily with homeless pregnant women and youth.   At Emma House, we provide our residents with a safe family-like environment, 24/7 trauma-informed care, life skills training, nutritional food, all basic necessities for our moms and babies, as well as comprehensive wrap around services. Over the years, Emma House has helped over 170 women and their babies move out of vulnerability and into healthy and sustainable lives in community. We’re building a caring community where seniors can make themselves at home. Calgary Heritage Housing (CHH) has been a steward of local Alberta seniors housing assets for nearly four decades. Our focus is on the seniors self-contained, independent living demographic. We manage nine government-owned, rent-subsidized apartment buildings and townhomes within Calgary. Our tenants value their independence. We know they also value quality, affordability, and a sense of personal safety and security. Our focus is on providing a secure and comfortable living environment.  

L’Arche Calgary is a community, made up of five Group Homes in Calgary, a Supported Independent Living Program (SILP), and a Tamarack Day Program. L’Arche Calgary supports adults with intellectual disabilities. It is a place where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life in a community designed to bring out the best in everyone, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need for one another.  We strive to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, by revealing them through mutually transforming relationships. We foster an environment in our community that responds to the changing needs of our members while being faithful to the core values of our founding story. In L'Arche, the beauty of a mutual relationship is exemplified every single day. We share our spirituality, pray with and for one another, welcome guests and neighbors, host family and friends, prepare and eat meals together, work together on daily chores, celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other milestones, and we even plan outings and go on vacations together. Life in L’Arche is lived and experienced together!

Junior Achievement is the largest youth education organization in Canada focusing on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness skills. JA serves students from coast to coast, and work in partnership with educators, volunteers, and businesses to help youth expand their potential, engage in their own economic development, and contribute to the strength of their community and Canada's economy. JA Southern Alberta reaches over 28,000 students each year with the help of volunteers and community partners who share in our mission to inspire young Albertans to succeed in the global economy.

We are a registered nonprofit organization to function in Alberta. Our ultimate goal is to provide a better and brighter life for children, youth, adults and seniors through sports, education and social activities. We run many campaigns and work with different organizations, entrepreneurs and societies to improve the quality of life and nourish these young minds to be successful in the future.
