CCIS (Calgary Catholic Immigration Society) is a non-profit organization which provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Southern Alberta. Since our inception in 1981, we have been a community leader with solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive services for our newest neighbours. We deliver these services through a dynamic multi-cultural, multi-denominational and multi-disciplinary team of professionals, who collectively speak over 60 languages.

Health – mental and physical health, obesity, addictions, and bullying. Community – community programming related to skills development, picnics, and family days. Volunteer Grant Writer Bright Lights For Africa is a Canadian registered charity and non-governmental organization, whose vision is to empower marginalized and vulnerable individuals through acts of love, compassion, and generosity, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. We serve both local and international communities and focus on tackling root causes of poverty to create sustainable and lasting change in the lives of those we serve. We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for a Grant Administrator! You will work remotely, about 4 to 6 hours per week and apply your skillset to support the grant/funding application process at Bright Lights for Africa. Ask Her strives to advance principles of inclusive and equitable representation in municipal government through training and development of candidates, and building a community of support. The Optimist Clubs' Park Society of Calgary supports youth-oriented projects in Calgary and area.  We are currently exploring opportunities for community parks development with the City of Calgary Parks Foundation.  In the past few years, we have provided funding to the YMCA (archery shelter and climbing wall at Camp Riveredge), Calgary Stetson Show Band (equipment truck), Calgary Stampede Foundation (Optimist Young Artists' Lounge), and Indefinite Arts Society (kitchen and art gallery).

Welcome to Girl Guides! We empower young girls and women to be everything they want to be, and as a volunteer, you will help make that happen! Our volunteers support girls as they build confidence, develop new skills and become leaders in their communities. As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more. You can choose to work with girls in one of five branches: Sparks (age 5-6), Brownies (age 7-8), Guides (age 9-11), Pathfinders (age 12-14) or Rangers (age 15-17).

As the only service of our kind in Canada, Shelter Movers helps survivors of gender-based violence transition to a better, safer life. Our VISION is a world where survivors can move on from abuse in dignity and power.

Luna exists to be a safe space where children, families, and caregivers can access support and resources that are needed after child abuse occurs. Our multidisciplinary team, made up of Luna Staff and Volunteers, Calgary Police Service, RCMP, Children's Services, Alberta Health Services, and Alberta Justice & Solicitor General, works towards the common goals of supporting children and youth throughout the entire disclosure, investigative, judicial and healing process. Luna creates a future where every child is heard and supported.
