We operate over 7,100 housing units and administer approximately 3,080 private landlord rent supplements. We meet tenant needs through our varied programs, which include: subsidized housing near market rentals (approx. 10% below market rates) rent supplements for tenants with private landlords Our building management strategy uses a “mixed income model” that combines below market rates with deep subsidies. By balancing the proportion of units within an individual building, Calgary Housing Company ensures that new affordable housing developments are financially sustainable while providing an inclusionary approach to housing where tenants of mixed financial means are blended together.

Black Pride YYC is a Calgary based 2SLGBTQ+ non- profit, volunteer-driven and community service organization providing support programs to the African, Black and Caribbean communities.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is  Canadian non profit organization whose mission is to provide new twin beds or bunks to children who don't have beds of their own.  Each Chapter raises funds in their own cummunties by partnering with local groups, business and individuals to make sure these beds are hand built, out-fitted with new mattresses and bedding and delivered to children in need.  shpbeds.ca

The Terminator Foundation is a non-profit organization rooted in understanding the challenges individuals face with mental health and addiction. We champion individuals battling these issues using Activity Based Recovery Therapy (ABRT). Founder and CEO, Vanisha Breault initiated the first Terminator Foundation 5k run for Youth Addiction Awareness took place in 2015 and we are excited to celebrate our 10th Run this year. Taking a holistic and community-centered recovery approach, ABRT is an intensive 12 week program requiring athletes' dedication and full effort. Through the duration of the program, athletes amplify their physical strength while improving their mental and emotional resilience, building lifelong habits for a sustainable recovery. This revolutionary approach combats hopelessness, reduces withdrawal and relapse, strengthens both body and mind, boosts resiliency and teaches self-regulation.

The Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society aims to create a safe space where all storytellers are welcome. We provide a relaxed, friendly and encouraging environment where writers of all ages and abilities can practice their craft and sharing the joys and difficulties of the writing experience. The Alberta Drama Festival Association is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to encourage, develop and maintain community theatre in Alberta. The main vehicle for pursuing this mandate is the adult, non-professional One-Act Play Festivals held throughout Alberta. The target audience for Legacy Place Society is inherently predisposed to responding to highly traumatic situations, encompassing scenarios such as high-conflict situations, sexual assault/violence, child predators, trafficking, murders, and senior abuse. Additionally, members of the First Responders, Military, and Veterans community routinely face incidents involving attempted and completed suicides. The distressing reality emerges when a peer succumbs to suicide, eliciting a profound sense of responsibility, inadequacy, and failure among their colleagues, who are professionally expected to protect and serve. This burden is further exacerbated when individuals within this community grapple with suicidal thoughts themselves. Legacy Place Society actively works to break the ongoing stigma associated with mental health by validating the individuals accessing the phone line. The organization is committed to educating people, fostering an environment where individuals can openly discuss mental health, and empowering them to live healthier lives. Despite increased awareness, resources, and attention directed towards employee mental health, there remains uncertainty regarding the competence of support agencies to comprehend the unique perspectives of first responders. Ensuring complete confidentiality and avoiding re-traumatization when addressing their concerns is of paramount importance. Legacy Place boasts a robust track record of trust and a proven ability to guide callers with empathy and effectiveness towards additional assistance, providing a valuable resource for those within this specialized and challenging field. Our Mission Statement Our objective is to assist and support patients, families and friends by informing, empathizing and reassuring men on their journey with prostate cancer. By sharing our experiences with our own cancer we lift our spirits and strengthen our resolve to fight for quality of life and a cure. We have 3 main objectives: • To provide peer-to-peer mutual support for men and their families on their journey with prostate cancer, • To increase public awareness and understanding of the disease, • To advocate for a strong provincial voice in matters relating to prostate cancer.
