The Canmore Folk Music Festival is Alberta's longest-running folk music festival, celebrating 48 years of music, community, and creativity. Held annually over the August long weekend, the festival brings together a dynamic lineup of local, national, and international artists, drawing an audience of over 5,000 people each day to the stunning Rocky Mountain town of Canmore. The Community Therapy Dogs Society (CTDS) provides care and support through animal-assisted interventions to individuals of all ages dealing with physical and mental health challenges. Our dedicated teams visit healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and senior homes. our Mission is to add value to people’s lives through a positive interaction with therapy dogs and to facilitate a better understanding of the role of therapy dogs through education and awareness. CTDS is entirely a volunteer organization and is a recognized Registered Charity by the Canada Revenue Agency. We offer our programs free of charge.
Free Spirit Sanctuary provides a peaceful, lifelong home for both domestic and wild horses, donkeys and farmed animals rescued from abuse, neglect or slaughter. FSS is founded on the belief that all living beings have inherent value, and are deserving of respect, compassion and the freedom to live according to their true nature. By helping people truly see the sentience, intelligence and rich emotional lives of animals, we hope to inspire compassionate living and interconnectedness with Nature and all living beings. We are also involved in increasing awareness about and advocating for the wild horses of Alberta, bringing an end to horse slaughter in Canada and the humane treatment of farmed animals.

he Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre is a registered charity based in Calgary, Alberta, serving the loss community worldwide.
Our mission is to support and connect individuals who have experienced the trauma around miscarriage, stillbirth, Termination For Medical Reasons (TFMR), abortion, neonatal loss, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and infertility.
We acknowledge that the journey through loss towards healing is as complex as it is individual. As such, we offer many no-cost pathways to healing including a help line, support groups, peer mentorship, and professional 1:1 sessions.
Dogs with Wings Assistance Dogs Society is a registered non-profit organization. At Dogs with Wings Assistance Dog Society (DWW), our vision is to transform the lives of people and advance the Service Dog sector. Our dream is wellness and support for all. To make this dream a reality, our dedicated staff team, our devoted Board of Directors, and our community of over 200 volunteers, work together to breed, raise, train, and place our service dogs with clients and enact our mission to foster integration and independence for individuals and social service agencies by providing them with highly trained Assistance Dogs. DWW is based in Alberta and accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI) and we are members of the Canadian Association of Guide & Assistance Dog Schools (CAGADS).
Second Harvest is the largest food rescue organization in Canada and a global thought leader in food recovery.
We work across the supply chain from farm to retail to capture surplus food before it ends up in the landfill which negatively impacts our environment.
Every year, we recover millions of pounds of nutritious, unsold food — focusing on protein, dairy and produce — which we rescue before it becomes waste. We redistribute it to a broad network of over 4,000 social service organizations. Supported by hundreds of corporations, foundations, and the community at large, we rescue and redistribute enough food to provide thousands of meals a day in Canada.

The Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation was established in 1993. We are a not-for-profit, charitable organization with a mandate to educate the public in the geosciences. We present Earth Science education programs to the general public, students, professionals, and scientists. Judo has been in Canada for over 100 years. Operating as a non-profit governance to promote and support the development and promotion of the Olympic sport of Judo. Currently recruiting volunteers for the 2025 Judo National competition being held in Calgary.
