Dr. Terry Mitchell, professor at the Department of Psychology, Wilfrid Laurier University will give the second guest lecture in our CIH (Calgary Institute for the Humanities) Working Group Beyond Petrocultures. Her talk is entitled Rights, Responsibilities, and Reconciliation: Understanding Free, Prior, and Informed Consent Across the Americas. Professor Mitchell is the Director of the Laurier Indigenous Rights and Social Justice Research Group and a faculty member at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, Wilfrid Laurier University. Her current research includes a collaborative project with the Centre for International Governance Innovation on the Internationalization of Indigenous Rights and Governance.
