The University of Calgary Jazz Orchestra, directed by Professor Jeremy Brown is comprised of many of the outstanding young jazz musicians in Calgary, both within the University and in the larger community. Directed by Jeremy Brown since 2010, the Jazz Orchestra has quickly become known for innovative programming, outstanding performances and world class guest artists. Recent guests have included PJ Perry, Maria Schneider, Michael Blake, Jodi Proznik, Ralf Bushmeier, Johnny Summers, Jon McCaslin, Ellen Doty, Oliver Miguel and Shane Statz.
