telos techne holos: Design Framework for Turbulent Times

This framework, places emphasis on greater integration, enhanced cultural sensitivity, and the pursuit of sustainability. Holistic guidelines (agility, fitness, diversity + delight) build from this knowledge base and afford environmental designers an innovative toolset to use when approaching the daunting tasks inherent to improving the fabric, feel and function our cities, buildings, places and spaces. This current research, and the resultant framework, present both a unique perspective and an original approach for more potent design + planning in perplexing, problematic and increasingly turbulent environments. This event is presented, at no cost, as a community event by the University of Calgary Emeritus Association and open to the public.
