Tom Keenan, EVDS, will speak on his latest book, “Technocreep.” A dynamic member of the UofC community, Tom has served as Dean and Professor in a variery of departmentts and faculties, including ContEd and EVDS. This talk could not be more timely, with personal information at risk at almost every turn. How do we maintain any sense of pricay, much less intimacy, when our information is widely for sale? Are there any steps we can take to be safe? Tom will answer over great beer and superb cuisine. The lecture will take place beginning at 6:30pm at the Big Rock Grill, 5555–76th Ave SE, on Wednesday, 26 February 2014. Phone: 403.720.3239 Fax 403.236.7523. Cost $50 for drinks, dinner and lecture. All proceeds go to fund eight University of Calgary scholarships per year, each in the lecturer’s home department.
