The Latin American Research Centre, Film Studies Program in the Dept. of Communication and Culture, and the Dept. of French, Italian and Spanish will be hosting two screenings of the award-winning Mexican psychological thriller El Incidente by Isaac Ezban (2014). Two parallel stories about characters trapped in illogical endless spaces: two brothers and a detective locked on an infinite staircase, and a family locked on an infinite road…for a very long time. The Director and Producer will be present at both screenings for Q&A. Events are FREE and OPEN to the public. Spanish with English subtitles. Isaac Ezban is a filmmaker from Mexico, co-founder of the production company Yellow Films and the Autocinema Coyote (the only drive-in theater in Mexico). Isaac specializes in genres like science fiction and horror. Among his filmography are more than 9 short films awarded in important international festivals. Isaac just released his first feature film THE INCIDENT (2014), a psychological sci-fi thriller which premiered numerous international festivals winning 8 awards. Isaac is also working in the post-production of his second feature film THE SIMILARS, a sci-fi thriller that takes place in the Mexico of the 1960´s, and is currently writing the screenplay for his third feature film.
