The Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition (E-Gré) is an annual event focusing on the exceptional performance of contemporary and Canadian music by Canada’s top emerging artists. Created as a tribute to composer and pianist/violinist S. C. Eckhardt-Gramatté, the competition highlights Canadian music. This year’s competition winner, Matt Poon, will be performing in Calgary as part of his cross-Canada tour. The School of Creative and Performing Arts presents Poon at a free noon-hour concert at Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall.

Location:

Eckhardt Gramatté Hall – Rozsa Centre

Growth of the soul is our goal, and there are many ways to encourage that growth, such as through love, nature, healing our wounds, forgiveness, and service. The soul grows well when giving and receiving love. I nourish my soul daily by loving others and being vulnerable to their love. Love is, after all, a verb, an action word, not a noun.
