Click here for more information on all the workshops For a small fee ($25/workshop), we invite all interested parties to take part in these workshops. Working with Communities: Workshop on applied environmental and social science research in northern Canada The purpose of this workshop is to introduce participants at this student conference to practical and applied research in the social sciences as it pertains to Northern Canada. Various uses of inter-disciplinary social and environmental science research in favor of northern community development objectives will be discussed. Following 4 thematic presentations, the panel will be available for questions from the audience. If the group size is large enough, smaller discussion groups may be formed. Each of the panelists will chair the discussions in smaller groups and participants may rotate through the four groups each 15 to 20 minutes.
