Join us in the Loft for a screening of Audrie and Daisy, a film that follows two different girls sexually assaulted on two different nights, in two different towns. Audrie and Daisy takes a hard look at the issues faced by America’s teenagers who are coming of age in the new world of social media bullying, spun wildly out of control. Following the screening we will have a panel discussion featuring members of the campus and broader community to talk about actions we can take in our own lives to end sexual violence. Topics will include survivor support, the role of positive mentorship, and consent. This free event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. This screening is part of the Ask First: Creating a Culture of Consent project, and is supported by SU Quality Money TW/CN: This film discusses sexual assault, suicide, attempted suicide, and victim blaming.
