Calgary youth volunteer program honoured for 'profound impact' in the community

The Youth Volunteer Corps of Calgary has received a top honour. The program of Youth Central was named a 2017 Gold Level YVC Affiliate, one of fewer than 15 Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) programs in the U.S. and Canada given the title. The founder and president of YVC’s headquarters in Kansas City, David Battey, said the Calgary group is “paving the way” for programs across the U.S. and Canada.
