When a humanitarian crisis strikes, Canadian aid workers mobilize to provide life-saving assistant to the most vulnerable people in the world. Aid workers- including medical practitioners, engineers, electricians and social workers- represent the best of our humanity. Who are they? What drives them? What challenges them? Join us for a presentation and panel discussion on 29 March and hear from humanitarian aid workers who were with the Canadian Red Cross on the frontlines of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the earthquake in Nepal and the Syrian refugee crisis. Gain insights into what it takes to respond to some of the most devastating emergencies around the world. Learn about Canadian contributions to the international humanitarian assistance and connect with fellow humanitarians.
