Do you believe in gender equality and rights for all? Then you, friend, are a feminist! Feminism may sound like it only matters to women, but it certainly does not! It affects us all! In celebration of International Women’s Day turned Month, the WRC and the University of Calgary Spoken Word Club (UCSW) are teaming up to bring you a night of spoken word poetry on everything and anything related to feminism! Come hear performers hash out their thoughts and slammers battle it out on topics from race, body image, sexuality and sex positivity, bodily autonomy, poverty, classism, mental health, politics, social equity, LGBTQ+ rights, and MORE. **For the open mic, the theme of feminism and what it encompasses is H…IGHLY and STRONGLY encouraged, but not strictly enforced so you may sign up to perform on any other topics as well. For the competition, all slammers must adhere to anything and everything feminism encompasses. ** More information can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/events/1565420617109588/
