All are welcome to join this special plenary lecture for the Werklund School of Education’s (WSE) Undergraduate course, EDUC 450 Diversity in Learning, on the topic of White Privilege. WSE professor Darren Lund will lead this important discussion. Topics may include: Understanding how being White includes a responsibility to better comprehend the complex ways Whiteness works to oppress others; Challenging oppression through an analysis of racialized privileges; and Recognizing that sustained critical interrogations, dialog and action in relation to Whiteness can lead to significant collective change.
