Join the Faith & Spirituality Student Team as they host a faith and film night. The film being screened is Deepa Mehta’s Beeba Boys, which tells the story of Jeet Johar, a guarded, ruthless gangster within the very real criminal underground populated by second- and third-generation Indian immigrants on Canada’s west coast. As Jeet competes with rival gangs for an increasingly shrinking turf, the single father and dutiful son is forced to violently demand respect, ensuring the Beeba Boys’ continued survival in present-day Vancouver. Snacks will be provided. Film will be shown followed by a discussion. No registration needed, feel free to drop in!
