Does the Earth have rights? Latin American Research Centre (LARC) and University of Calgary International will be hosting Bolivian Foreign Relations Minister David Choquehuanca éspedes for a public talk on Los Derechos de la Madre Tierra (The Rights of Mother Earth) to discuss our connections and obligations to the environment. Minister Choquehuanca has served in the Bolivian cabinet since President Evo Morales took office in 2006. He has extensive experience in political and social activism in support of indigenous groups and campesinos in Bolivia. Presentation in Spanish with English interpretation.
