Convocation Ceremony

Convocation ceremony this afternoon takes place for the following faculties: Cumming School of Medicine Faculty of Nursing Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Graduate Studies for the following degrees: Interdisciplinary graduate programs, Post degree programs, Graduate degree programs associated with the above faculties/departments, including areas of study in: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Biomedical Technology Cardiovascular/Respiratory Science Community Health Sciences Gastrointestinal Sciences Immunology Medical Sciences Microbiology & Infectious Diseases Neuroscience Convocation ceremonies occur every June in the Jack Simpson Gym, located on the main university campus. Students can invite as many guests as they wish to attend convocation ceremonies. The university does not require guests to RSVP or issue tickets. Guests may enter the Jack Simpson Gym one hour before the ceremony start time. We recommend you arrive at least 45 minutes before the ceremony. The University of Calgary is located at 2500 University Dr. NW. The best entrance to use for convocation is Collegiate Blvd NW, which is located just off 32 Ave NW. For an overview see Google maps. All convocation ceremonies are held in the Jack Simpson Gymnasium in the Kinesiology Complex (labeled KNB on the map). The main entry for convocation ceremonies is the north entrance to KNB by the Olympic Oval. There are several pay parking lots available on campus.
